The Teaching Experience

The overall teaching experience is heavily influenced by the use and availability of the tools used and is also affected by elements outside of the user’s control. Eazy Breathe is designed to be used within the educational system, specifically for teachers who lack the confidence to speak clearly, suffer from anxiety and want to learn to communicate better.

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.

CONTEXT

With the nature of public speaking, the speaker is often at the mercy of their environment and this can often cause people to feel less confident or anxious. Eazy Breathe primarily will be used within the educational environment. This being in classrooms, lecture halls, and whenever educators might be speaking to an audience.

Eazy Breathe is designed to be used specifically for teachers who lack the confidence to speak clearly, suffer from anxiety and want to learn to communicate better.

HAPTIC ACTUATORS

Eazy Breathe uses haptic actuators to create dynamic vibrations that simulate the feeling of an empathetic touch. These haptic actuators are programmable by the app and have on product options to lower frequencies for adaptability.

APP INTEGRATION

The Eazy Breathe collects average heart rate beats per minute from the user. The data is transferred to the app which collates and displays that data to the users, highlighting key periods of stress in real-time. This data helps the user understand where their problems arise and help them improve. This device is there to help people who struggle with speaking and to help develop their communication skills. This can then be passed on to others and create a chain reaction of overall positive teaching. The app helps create a community where people who have the same sort of anxiety or poor speaking ability, can help each other and learn to communicate better. This overally helps the user understand their current skills in speaking/teaching. Allowing for self-betterment and development of the teaching experience.

HR SENSOR

Eazy Breathe uses PPG technology to monitor the user’s heart rate. This monitoring is around the clock but is primarily used when the users are public speaking. When the personalized stress threshold is over the specified limit the haptic actuator will receive a signal and starts the dynamic vibrations located at the bottom of the device. At this time the user has full control over the device; whether to turn it off or change the frequency depending on the situation.
